|
|
Warwickshire 'C' have been given a helping hand in their efforts to qualify for the National Finals in Selsey in Feb/March next year.
The match with Derbyshire 'B' has been awarded to them 14-13, after they had originally lost to the national champions by the same score, because it has been found that Derbyshire were playing too many 'A' standard players in the 'B' section match.
The 'C' team now sit in a qualifying place with a match in hand, against the bottom team !
C'MON !!
Also, well done to Bri Higgins, who currently sits proudly on top of the 'B' standard central region averages. _________________ Nelson Army

| This is great news Franc I felt that we deserved the win that day anyway. So come on lads a couple more wins and we are going to selsey. I would also like to congratulate Bri Higgins on being top of the averages. |

Lets not crack open the champagne just yet !
We all know that any decisions made by the powers that be can easily be overturned under appeal.
Still a lot of hard work to be done to qualify and we need to start winning and keep winning to assure a place at Selsey.
I am certain that if we qualify then we will go very close to winning the national champs in March '08. _________________ www.leampool.co.uk

We play Staffordshire this coming Sunday at the Park Tavern, and then East Staffordshire away the following week, if we win them both, with the way the fixtures work, I reckon we're there. C'MON. _________________ Nelson Army

.....and the County fixtures have only been in place since April !!!
I will see if I can re-arrange, but this seasons rules state that teams dont have to re-arrange if they dont want to. _________________ Nelson Army

Yes you are correct !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The match against East Staffs C away is on 9th Dec according to the website, the same date it was when I organised the tourney timetable back in September !!!!!!!!!!!! _________________ www.leampool.co.uk

| Me and Justin was speaking the other day and we both agreed it would be a good idea to cover up the table not in use just before the match starts. I think this will give more support to every single player playing and hopefully this will show more interest by the players not on the table |

I 100% agree with this.
Everywhere we've been this season and played we seem to be the only team that goes off and plays on other tables. Particularly the last match, where a lot of people were off playing on the snooker tables (myself included), but some were playing on it most of the match, sometimes only leaving 1 or 2 players supporting our team!!!
Maybe its only a coincidence that our best result was against the league leaders when we were all sat together, with a fantastic team spirit!!!
We seem to be the only team that doesn't unite!!!
So I agree with Smitty, lets cover the table and get 100% behind our team mates!!!!!
